Something very strange is happening in Zimbabwe. Our hospitals are falling apart. People are dying from simple sicknesses that should be easy to treat. There are no basic medicines. Beds are broken. Wards are dirty. Doctors and nurses are tired and stressed. The whole health system is broken and painful to watch. But instead of fixing it for the people, those in power are using this crisis to make money. Very big money. Almost one billion United States dollars is now involved in health deals. And most of this money is going to people close to the President.

It all started with a Facebook post. The Youth Minister wrote that he visited a hospital and was shocked by what he saw. He said the situation was terrible and asked the President to visit hospitals and see the pain of the people. Many people clapped hands and praised him. They said he was brave and honest. But some of us knew this was not the full story. That post was not about helping people. It was the beginning of something planned.

Soon after the post, the President started visiting hospitals. He went to big hospitals and to the medicines store. Cameras followed him. People thought help was coming. But behind closed doors, deals were already moving. Huge deals. The visits were not about saving lives. They were about opening the door for contracts worth billions. These contracts were not designed for the public good. They were designed for friends, allies, and business partners.

One businessman received a deal of four hundred and thirty seven million United States dollars to supply cancer machines. His company was only a few months old. It was registered outside Zimbabwe. The deal was never advertised. No other companies were invited to compete. That is not how honest business works. That is corruption in plain sight.

Another deal came from a foreign country after a meeting between presidents. This deal is said to be worth three hundred million United States dollars. It includes medicines, equipment, and hospital upgrades. Again, the same powerful business figures close to the President are involved. They are said to be advising and guiding the project. Just days after the Facebook post, a private meeting was held in Harare with the inner circle to talk about money for these health deals.

There is also another close friend who was given the job to fix hospitals without any open process. His company mostly works only on government projects. He lives a flashy life and faces many serious accusations. Still, he receives full support, protection, and even special travel papers from the state. His company is linked to many public projects that cost millions, all given without competition.

These men are not fixing hospitals for the sick. They are fixing deals for themselves. While patients lie in pain without drugs, a few people are becoming richer. Our suffering has become a business. Hospitals have been turned into a gold mine for the powerful. Prices are pushed up. Rules are ignored. Fairness is dead.

This is not leadership. This is theft. The health system has been captured. The government hides the deals and refuses to explain. There is no honesty and no shame. Zimbabweans must speak out. Our hospitals belong to the people, not to corrupt elites. If we stay quiet, they will keep stealing and people will keep dying. We cannot accept this evil. Silence helps thieves. Every life matters. We must demand truth, fairness, and justice. We must keep writing, speaking, and exposing. A country that cannot heal its people is not free. Change will only come when citizens refuse to be afraid.
